Josh Segall is a 4th-generation Alabamian, born and raised in Montgomery. He was named after his uncle who lost his life in Vietnam, one of many in the Segall family who have proudly served our nation. Josh’s family has proudly called Alabama its home and for many years owned a small business on Dexter Avenue in Montgomery.
Josh has always been concerned by the economic issues in his own backyard, namely rural development. While studying at the University of Alabama, he taught classes on agriculture and development. Josh founded a nonprofit called Homegrown Alabama, which worked with the University to buy its food from local Alabama farmers. He launched a farmers’ market for the University community which still operates today. Josh’s energy and creativity led to expanded sales opportunities for our farmers and fresher produce for the students. These are the types of innovative, results-oriented ideas that Josh will bring to Congress.
Upon completing his degree, Josh moved back to Montgomery to practice in a civil defense firm. Josh is married to Quin Segall, whom he met while attending the University of Alabama. They live in Montgomery with their two dogs, Wimberley and Alvy.
Josh is running for Congress because Washington is broken and Alabama deserves someone who will fight for us instead of his party and special interests. Josh will be an independent voice for jobs and bring his results-oriented approach to your concerns. He envisions an Alabama where our younger generations can find good jobs and raise their families at home.
